We try to work around our students commitments as much as possible . 5pm - 8pm are always the busiest times so these need to be booked in advance when ever possible .You can also book extra half hours ...particularly good if you live some distance from the test routes - this will maximize your time driving around the test center area .
Some people feel that hourly lessons go on forever ..The advantage of the intensive course is that you learn to drive over a short period of time - cramming before the exam !! Students should idealy have already passed their theory and be in a position to book their practical test . We would recommend an assessment one hour lesson , to indicate the length of the course required and to ensure the student is happy with the instructor and vehicle before commiting to the course ( as a guideline a non driver would require a minimum of 25 hours to reach test standard ) .
 Having secured a test date we will then block book your course over a week / 10 days prior to the test date. We do not specify how you should structure your lessons, but will try and fit around your work / college schedules. A minimum of 2 hours a session is recommended to ensure the course has been completed and the student is confident and competent in their driving skills . Payment is required on commencement of the course as the bookings then take precidence over the hourly students and are blocked out of the diary .
Please do call us with any questions regarding the intensives as there are many different ways we can and have conducted the courses . There is NO guarentee of a pass but the student will have covered every aspect needed to go forward to the test ...if there is any doubt of the students performance in the instructors mind he will have flagged up his concerns before the course comes close to its end .
Once you have passed your test you may be able to reduce your insurance
 by taking the pass plus .
This is an assesment ( not a test ) run by your instructor to oversee your
skills and competency in more advanced driving situations such as motorway
or inner city . We cover these in a 6 hour drive encompassing the A30 , M5 ,
Exeter or Plymouth city centers and then home via various routes
( you do get a mid journey break !!) .
This course would also benefit a nervous driver wanting a refresher or
someone who has been away from the wheel for some time ..
